Summer Sessions at PureGym: The TRX Row Challenge

image

This week's fun gym challenge involves the TRX. Designed by a Navy Seal so he could keep fit wherever he was in the world using just his own bodyweight, the TRX will give you an effective, challenging and low impact workout.

Suitable for any fitness level, this simple exercise method can help boost cardio and strength, aid weight loss, and improve your overall fitness.

The TRX Row targets the muscles in your upper and middle back and will also strengthen your shoulders and core. It’s no wonder it’s regarded as one of the best back exercises you can do. Right, let's get started.

How to perform a TRX Row

To get into the starting position, hold the TRX straps, adopt a vertical plank position and walk your feet forward until the straps go tense. With your palms facing each other, pull your body towards your hands whilst keeping your elbows close to your body. Keep your abs tight throughout.

Gently lower yourself to the starting position and repeat. If you want to make the move more challenging, move your feet forward so you’re more parallel with the floor.
