We are partnering with Social Bite to help break the cycle of homelessness.
Social Bite have identified the current approach to homelessness in the UK does not work. Using temporary accommodation such as hostels and B & Bs does not provide people with the stability and the support that they need to escape a life characterised by destitution and exclusion.
The first Social Bite Village was launched in Edinburgh in 2018. The village is an innovative, community-based accommodation project that is designed to help people build a better life.
SOCIAL BITE HAVE LAUNCHED…
The goal behind this campaign is to help build two new Social Bite Villages, with target cities of Glasgow and London.
The aim of the campaign is to raise £1 million, which will help towards replicating the village model in the two new cities as well as Social Bite’s wider mission of ending homelessness.
WHAT IS BREAK THE CYCLE
Break the Cycle is a charity cycling event taking place on Sunday 5th September 2021. Setting off from Sir Chris Hoy’s Velodrome in Glasgow and pedalling 60 miles with Chris Hoy across Scotland’s central belt crossing the finish line in Edinburgh.
