Alessandra Link-Morton

My interest in sports and fitness began at an early age when I started swimming.

I discovered another passion when I started Tae Kwon Do training which allowed me the opportunity of being able to explore all the different movements involved in this particular sport.  I gained my Black Belt when I was 12 years old.

I specialise in flexibility and mobility as these are elements which are important to maintain at a high level.  Flexibility and mobility are extremely important for looking after the joints especially as people become older and is a neglected area, so the earlier people do this, the better!

I teach a variety of fitness components such as Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscular Endurance, Muscular Strength and Flexibility.  I always try to create a combination of these components to make exercising more interesting and enjoyable.

I understand the importance of the journey needed to achieve weight loss.  As a foundation degree graduate, I have studied and understand nutrition at a higher level than Personal Trainers who do not have this qualification.  My top-up course to BSc (Hons) this year, will add to this knowledge.

I taught myself British Sign Language when I was a pre-teen because I wanted to be able to communicate with the deaf community.  I am very proud of being able to continue signing and am educated to Level 2 in British Sign Language.  I firmly believe that health and fitness should be inclusive and not exclusive to both hearing and non-hearing people, so if I can be of any assistance in this way, I more than happy to help.
