Hi, I’m Curtis and I’m a member of the PureGym Newport team. I have played sport and experimented with different methods of training for the past seven years and am aiming to use my experiences to help individuals reach their potential whatever their aims may be!
Although I use many methods of training, I try to ensure that the exercises I prescribe are backed up by evidence. This almost ensures that your results will be accelerated, allowing you to smash through your goals in the future!
I believe that a strong mindset and will to succeed is needed to stay on track and develop discipline. Whether this is present from the off or needs to be developed over time will not matter; the process you undergo when training is what will make sure you develop both physically and mentally! Fitness needs to be enjoyable to continue producing results and if the mindset you adopt is one of optimism and openness, this will never be a problem!
I am also currently studying a ‘Sports & Exercise Science’ degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University so I will aim to continuously build upon my knowledge to give you the best experience possible!
