I used to workout for all the wrong reasons – I’d say for completely superficial reasons. I wanted to fit in so badly and pushed myself away from anyone who questioned my actions. I was uncomfortable in my skin and, although I’ve learnt to love my body, it’ll always be a work in progress.

We’re our own worst critics and Instagram can be the biggest trigger when it comes to old habits and mindset. You just constantly have to remind yourself where you came from to where you are now.

Over a year ago, I fell in love with CrossFit and now I train to feel strong, to relax, and destress. I love lifting heavy, I live for food, and I would never count my calories again.

I think the most challenging thing about being in the gym environment is this anxiety, that you sort of develop the habit of constantly questioning yourself. If I can help just one scared woman or man to feel more confident in who they are, it’s all worthwhile in my opinion.

I do question a lot of things in my life but I have absolutely no doubt that my discipline, enthusiasm and love for training makes me incredibly well equipped to share it with others.

Here’s to an exciting journey helping people fall in love with training and gain confidence inside and outside of the gym.
