I have not always had a healthy relationship with the gym. Growing up, I was a keen hockey player and was very busy, but as I got older and started working, I didn’t play as much. I took to the gym and loved it and what it did for me. Unfortunately, an obsession with food and control got the better of me and I ended up in a position where it controlled me. The journey back to a healthy weight and mindset has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding processes I have ever experienced, and I now realise the confidence that the gym can give you. The gym is for the mind as well as the body.
I am also a firm believer that sustainable changes breed sustainable results and as such, my approach is based on that. Whether your goal is fat loss, gaining some muscle and strength or just living a more health-conscious lifestyle, making informed choices that are supported by scientific research, at a sustainable rate, is essential. Basically, we hate crash diets here.
