Showing Up

Everything you need, nothing you don’t: Top-tier equipment for everyday legends.

Fitness Community,

Spring has officially sprung, and we’re in the mood to celebrate. More high-fives. More small wins. More reasons to keep showing up.

If you read my last note, you know I believe the best gyms remove friction from people’s lives. Fewer complications. More feel-good movement. That’s what it’s all about.

This week, I want to talk about something that quietly makes that possible.

The equipment.
Small wins start with the right tools. The right equipment makes starting easier. And at PureGym that’s what our mission is. Seamless integration for you and your goals twenty-four hours a day.

Whether you are starting from scratch or have an established workout regimen, we want you to thrive in a completely accessible environment and provide you with all the tools you need to get where you want to be.

We have almost twenty years of experience helping every member get to where they want to be. We know that not everyone’s mission is the same – but the network that we provide makes it easy, accessible, and affordable to accomplish whatever your workout vision is.

Now, you don’t have to wrestle with complicated setups. You don’t need to know every trick in the book. You just step in, adjust a setting or two, and get moving. And our “small wins” ethos makes it possible for everyone to succeed.

While all the equipment at PureGym is top-tier and useful, I do have my favorites. Currently crushing on the Booty Builder V8 and its partner, the Booty Builder Standing Hip Thrust.

If you’ve ever tried setting up hip thrusts with a barbell, bench, and a stack of plates, you know it can feel like assembling gym furniture before the workout even begins. No thanks!

The Booty Builders change that. You strap in, adjust your position, and thrust. That’s it.

The V8 version is compact, quick to set up, and uses a weight stack that lets you adjust resistance in seconds. Its raised-feet design helps isolate the glutes and puts you in a strong, stable position.

The Standing Hip Thrust offers a slightly different experience. It’s plate-loaded, heavily padded for comfort, and gives you multiple hand positions so you can find what works best for your body.

In other words: less setup, more movement. And if a machine helps you start faster and leave feeling better, it’s doing its job.

Good equipment matters

It helps you start faster. It builds confidence. And it supports people at every experience level, not just seasoned gym veterans. Some members want to lift heavy. Others just want to move a little, clear their head, and feel good for the rest of the day.

Great equipment makes room for all of it.

Meet some gym floor all-stars

Every gym floor has its personalities. The machines do too. Get to know some of ours. At PureGym, our culture matters and we want it to be affordable, accessible, and there to meet your workout needs with whatever equipment best suits your lifestyle.

The Skillmill

The one that keeps you honest.

What it’s good for:
Serious conditioning and strength. Unlike a traditional treadmill, the Skillmill is powered entirely by you. No motor. No shortcuts. The harder you push, the faster it moves.

Use for:
Short bursts of effort, interval training, and building real endurance.

Sled Push

The strong, silent type.

What it’s good for:
Full-body strength and power. Load it with plates, get into a low athletic stance, and drive forward using your legs and core. It’s simple, intense, and incredibly satisfying.

Use for:
Leg strength, conditioning, and that “I definitely did something today” feeling.

Ski Erg

The smooth operator.

What it’s good for:
Cardio with a full-body twist. Originally designed for cross-country skiers, the Ski Erg works your arms, core, and legs in one continuous motion. It’s low-impact and adaptable for athletes of all levels.

Use for:
Quick cardio sessions that build endurance without pounding your joints.

Try this circuit

With these machines in the mix, we thought we’d introduce something fun. Mixing up your routine will make it easier for you to accomplish your fitness goals and and keep you moving throughout the gym.

Meet the Feel-Good Four Circuit. (AKA The FG4)

Simple. Repeatable. Built around some of our gym floor all-stars.

  • Booty Builder V8 — 12 reps
  • Skillmill — 45 seconds
  • Sled Push — 2 lengths
  • Ski Erg — 45 seconds
  • Rest for 60 seconds, then repeat 3X

You can scale it up or down depending on your pace. Think of it as a little shared moment on the gym floor. If you see someone finishing a round, you’ll know exactly what they’re up to. :: wink wink::

Next time you’re at the gym, give it a try. You might just leave feeling a little stronger and a little lighter.

New equipment shouldn’t make workouts more complicated. It should simplify your regimen and allow you to streamline your fitness vision.

It should make them more doable.

If a machine helps you start faster, feel more confident, or finish your workout with a better mood than when you walked in, then it’s working exactly the way it should.

Because PureGym isn’t about perfection.

It’s about accessible goals.
It’s about forward momentum.
Small wins.
And a sense of accomplishment.
On your time. At your pace.
WIth PureGym there to support you at every step.

Here’s to more ways of feeling good,
