About me

Hi, I'm Matt. I am qualified personal trainer, gym instructor, athletics coach and sports therapist. My interest in working as a personal trainer comes from my involvement in Sport. I started competitive canoe sprint when I was 11, eventually gaining Scottish and British championship medals which moved me towards my journey as a trainer, coach and therapist. I have previously engaged the services of a personal trainer to help me take my training to the next level and to recover from injury, so I understand what you need. Success in anything is down to three things – desire, opportunity and practice. If you are already a gym member and reading this, then you are probably covering the first two. Practice, however, is what drives you to new levels. It’s not just doing the same thing over and over, you need to use the correct technique and adopt a progressive practice approach and as a personal trainer that is where I can help. So, if you are interested in taking it to the next level, want to improve your physical and mental health, increase your confidence levels, make the most out of your visits to the gym, or all of these, I’m happy to have a chat.
