Like many others, I started out with a desire to lose a little weight and get a little fitter. As a mid-forties runner I was never going to be very fast, but I have learnt how to go long! As a beginner, I used to run with older members. It became apparent to me that older athletes feel they may be 'holding others back' but I, however, found them inspirational and ideal training partners. This began my PT journey so I could help and encourage older athletes to continue or begin their own fitness journeys.
My PT qualifications, and subsequent experience, have taught me the benefit of strength and conditioning work to supplement training and lifestyle goals. I have carried out further studies in outdoor fitness and run coaching, and continue my personal development; there is always more to learn!
