We're sorry to hear that you want to leave - but did you know you can freeze or transfer your membership instead?
Free freeze - you can currently freeze for free for up to one month. The freeze will apply from your next payment date and if you want to freeze for longer you can freeze up to 3 months in a 12 month period, for just £6.99 per month instead of your normal monthly fee. This means no joining fee or price increases when you come back. If you're a PLUS member, freezing is included as part of your membership!
You can Freeze your membership in 3 easy steps. Just log in to your Members Area, select 'Your Profile', then 'Freezing or Cancelling' and follow the instructions to freeze. If you still want to cancel, once logged in select 'Freezing or Cancelling ' and follow the cancellation instructions. We will then process your cancellation.
You need to do this no later than 3 working days before your next payment date to stop that payment being taken.
We've made it really easy to freeze! Just follow these easy steps:
1. Head to your Member's Area
2. Select the "Your Profile" tile and then "Freeze or Cancel"
3. Follow the instructions to freeze your membership
You can freeze for free for 1 month. Any further freeze, for up to 3 months within a 12 month period is at a cost of £6.99. The freeze will be applied from your payment date, so make sure it is added at least 3-4 working days before this date.
You can only freeze for a maximum of 3 months, over the course of a year (from your very first freeze!).
If you want to come back to us sooner, you can! You just need to log back into your Members Area and unfreeze your membership. This may mean there is a small amount added on to your next payment to cover the days in the gym for the rest of that month.
It's really easy to unfreeze your membership, just log into your Member's Area and select the option to unfreeze.
It's immediate, so you can go to the gym straight away once it's unfrozen. Unfreezing before the original end date may mean there is a small amount added on to your next payment to cover your days in the gym for the rest of that month.
Absolutely. With over 280 gyms, you’re free to pick and choose according to what suits your location best.
You can manage your full membership, including transferring your gym location, in your Members Area on the website. Simply head to your Member's Area and go to “Packages and Upgrades”, you’ll be able to pick the gym you’d like to move to and the membership option that suits your needs.
If the gym you are moving to is a different price to your current membership it will mean your next payment will be different to account for the change being made mid-payment month, we’ll send you an email to confirm the change and the payment amounts after you’ve completed it online.

Because you're on a fixed term membership our Member Services Team will need to cancel it for you. As per our Terms and Conditions, when cancelling a fixed term membership, you are entitled to a refund of 50% of the remaining days of your membership.

In England, following the latest advice from the Government, members are encouraged to wear a suitable face covering while in the gym (except when exercising). Please wear a face covering when entering the gym, in communal areas and changing rooms, and when moving around the gym. This can be removed during exercise. Please ensure that all used masks are disposed of safely in one of the bins provided.
In Scotland and Wales, face coverings must be worn by law within the communal areas of the gym, but can be removed whilst exercising.
It's really easy to upgrade or downgrade your membership on our website, and the changes you make are instant! All you need to do is log into your Member's Area, select the 'Packages and Upgrades' tile and follow the instructions.
Yes. For a small supplement to your Core membership you’ll be able to gain access to other gyms at the same basic price as your home gym. For example, if the Core price of your home gym is £20.99, you can use other gyms at that price or less.
If you’d like to add this option when joining, select the PLUS membership option. This will pull up a list of all the different gyms you’ll be able to access.
If you're already a member, you can add multi gym access as a bolt on or by upgrading to a PLUS membership, simply log into your Member's Area, select the 'Packages and Upgrades' tile and follow the instructions.
Our PLUS membership allows you to bring a guest with you for free, up to four times a month. If you’d like to add this option when joining, select the PLUS membership option.
If you're already a member, you can add our 'Bring A Friend' feature as a bolt on or by upgrading to a PLUS membership, simply log into your Member's Area, select the 'Packages and Upgrades' tile and follow the instructions.

The majority of our gyms are open 24/7, although a small number are unable to stay open the whole time.
Please refer to your Gym's homepage for current opening hours.
Some of our gyms offer the option of an Off Peak membership. This means you’ll be able to access your gym at restricted times of the day when you pay a lower membership fee.
You will need to check your selected gym which you can do within the joining process which will show you if it is available, the price and hours you can use the gym.

Yes, PureGym wants to keep you totally in control, any time of day. That’s why you can log in to your Member's Area using your email address and PIN to update and change whatever you like. This includes changing home gym, freezing your membership, updating address details, making changes to bank information, changing your Direct Debit date and so on.
It’s important to remember that changing your payment date might result in slight change in your following payment, but this will even out over time. If you’re changing your bank details we’ll need five days’ notice before your next payment is due.
