I have always exercised, whether it was swimming or doing aerobics in my local leisure centre. Exercise became something I wanted to do regularly when I went to my first race for life event.
After this I was hooked and exercise became part of my lifestyle, and now I regularly train 5 days a week with running being my passion, and you can usually find me training for a marathon, with strength training an absolute must, especially for a woman of my age!!
Strength training should be done throughout life not only to help you achieve your goals but to make sure you can stay fit and active in your later years, and it is especially important as we get to mid-life and sometimes knowing what to do is the tricky part.
