To allow us to add the finishing touches to your upgraded club, we will be closed from 10pm Thursday 17th - 1pm Friday 18th September.

The upgrade includes…
- A brand new women's workout space with a lifting zone with squat racks and a free weights area with adjustable benches, dumbbells (up to 30kg) and a Smith machine. Plus, we have a mix of upper and lower body focused fixed pin equipment along with plenty of glute focused machines!
- A brand new Shape zone, our beginner-friendly strength zone, featuring lighter barbells, dumbbells, glute-focused machines, and benches — ideal for building strength with confidence
- An upgraded functional training zone including new wall ball targets and a Hyrox runner

We're based inside Tesco on Newcastle Road, opposite the Stadium of Light football ground. There are two entrances, one next to the cafe inside Tesco and one by the underground car park, where you can park for free.*
We have a number of bus routes that pass Puregym Sunderland with stops outside Tesco and Stagecoach. We are also a couple of minutes walk from the Stadium of Light metro station.
We want to keep PureGym a safe environment for everyone to work out. If you plan to train at night or during un-staffed hours, please read our unstaffed hours document here to ensure your safety when at the gym.
