What is a Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a form of exercise that is done on a sliding carriage called a reformer.

Our classes are classic style reformer with a focus on control, flexibility and strength. Imagine combining yoga with resistance training – and imagine how good it leaves you feeling afterwards.

If it’s your first time, fear not, we'll demonstrate how the reformer bed works and have fun getting started!

We recommend you working out in grip socks, so please bring these along with you or purchase some in club before your class.

Why Reformer?

  • Build strength and muscle endurance

  • Improve your posture

  • Increase flexibility and balance

  • Strengthen your core & stabilising muscles

Unlike mat Pilates which uses only body weight, the reformer uses springs to add or decrease resistance to movements. This makes a class challenging while still being low-impact and gentle on the joints.

The workout itself consists of various controlled and precise movements that engage the entire body. All muscle groups come into play – even those you didn’t know existed! You'll become more flexible, stronger and be smiling more than ever before during a workout.
