Bournemouth the Triangle gym reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great team member, good equipament but can improve I think is such good gym, but may be get better, regard the equipament are there missing a kind type of rodefir the barbells, a few of plates (weight's disc) are rust or broken, they don't have also any kind of boxing bag. About the gym members, many of people they don't sanitazer and/or clean their sweat afterbeing used machines, free weights and bunch; other side about the dressing room, I think to get them locked from 12:00 a.mtill 6:00a.mare many hours, I suggest at last from 1:30a.m, specially the femake one. And one more thing is about the showers, all of them provide only hot water, and not choice for cold, the cold showers are so common abd necesary for the atlhets or sport people, for me does not maje sense that they do not have different temperatures for shower's water

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fair for the price. Gym has a decent volume of kit and it is good quality, except 10-15% of the cardio kit is faulty in one way or another. Hr doesn't work, fan or just out of use completely, seems a servicing issue. Never that busy in the day which is ideal. Staff don't really acknowledge members much, it's chatting with those they know or everyone else is invisible. When they are training people etc, look like they know what they are doing. 5% of people wipe down kit after themsleves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Always a good experience overall The gym is very convenient for me - within walking distance - and very easy to use. There is always enough equipment available to use, subject to floorspace sometimes being taken up by small classes. The only slight negative is that sometimes a number of showers are either out of use or the water temperature is either too hot or too cold.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Old machines, cleaning products not well stocked I understand a gym is hard to run during the current time but the equipment looked dirty and the cleaning materials were not in stock.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ventilation is poor. Smell made me turn around Understand people sweat and although busy the smell was horrendous. Left promptly

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the nicest experience Unfortunately the best time for me to gym is peak time, around 5:45-6pm after I’ve just left work which is very close to Pure Gym at the Triangle (Bournemouth). I expect gyms to be busier around these times, but having been to puregym tonight for the first time, the whole experience was unfortunately not the nicest. The gym itself is quite dimly lit and not very bright, it feels quite cramped with everything very very close making what is a busy gym feel even more crowded. It is incredibly noisy despite me using noise cancelling headphones (sound travelling from extremely loud music and classes). I found that I felt very aware and self conscious of the vastly differing ratio of men to women in the gym also - the environment felt quite uncomfortable and intimidating. I didn’t manage to use much equipment due to it being so busy but I really wasn’t enjoying hanging around. I used to use ‘the gym’ on Westover road and despite that getting busier in peak times, it is a bright and open space that makes you feel like there’s always something to use and there will be distance between yourself and other people. There’s never been a noticeable imbalance of men to women there either. Puregym is perfectly located for convenience for me, so I want to give it another go and hopefully with some routine, I will get used to things. However it is worth noting I have spoken now to a few women I work with who also have been to this puregym and have since moved gyms for exactly the same reasons I found and listed above, so this does seem to be an off putting issue for people. The atmosphere and environment is just not the best and needs improvement

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice gym, shame the lockers are so damaged. The gym is OK. You need to fix the lockers (I have to check normal about 5 to find one that can open and close) and either turn down the music in the classes area or make it more sound proof. When the music is on I had to use basic sign language to communicate with my PT or shout at them. Not good.
