Hi, I'm the new guy on the team… and also the old guy, at 58! You might notice I can't walk in a straight line or balance on one leg. Don't worry, it’s just the dyspraxia!
Less than a year ago, I was 20kg heavier, chronically inflamed and unable to tie my own shoelaces. I was so stiff I couldn't walk down the stairs in the morning, and running across the road was out of the question. I was unhappy with how I looked, but more importantly, I was unhappy with how I felt, and my mental health suffered.
I know what it's like to look in the mirror and not feel comfortable in your own skin. I know what it's like to start over and over again, and how frustrating it is when your body just doesn't respond the way it used to.
As you can see, all of that has changed. Now I want to share everything I've learned, both from my own journey and from qualifying as a personal trainer, to help other people reach their goals and potential.
You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to know what you're doing. You don't have to be the fittest person in the gym. You just have to be willing to start.
If any of my story sounds familiar, or you're thinking about getting started but don't know where to begin, I'd love to hear from you. Drop me a message, even if it's just for a chat.
Let's work on becoming stronger, healthier and more confident, one step at a time together.
