Didcot gym reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good gym May be one more squat rack with safety and bench-press (incline) would make the gym complete ;)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay As gyms go it feels quite airless, showers and loos are okay and provide a safe space to change. Lockers reeked of BO. Equipment is okay, some more free weight bars wouldn't hurt as members like to walk off with them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A good Gym with some rotten apples The gym shower rooms and changing rooms are really small, there's not a place in the shower rooms to place your gym bag, the floor it's always wet from the moist, so that leaves only the top of the toilet cover, which wouldn't be my first choice. On top of this most PT's in the gym are nice and friendly but there's a PT there that seems to be friends with some guy's I know and that I no longer get along with them, they clearly talk with him about me as a common friend came to told me, that she was told by one of the guy's that knows me, that that PT Albert Czégény told that guy he had already asked me to stop dropping the bumpers on the floor, well he never even exchanged a word with me, much less asked me to not drop the bumpers on the floor. I do Olympic weightlifting in an area of the gym that has a proper platform to drop the bumpers from over the head heights, so I'm not really sure what is his issue with that, and I even thought that it was just something that that guy made up. But then one day I'm doing my workout together with my wife and sometimes we film our workouts it allows us to identify flaws in our technique, and this guy the gym PT is standing behind me looking at me while he empties some bin's and I clearly notice he was looking at me as he didn't even tried to be careful about it, and he stays there starring at me. and i just thought well if you want to tell me something by all means come over and say it, and didn't really paid any more attention to that, except that when I was watching the video I see this guy behind me nodding his head in disapproval of whatever I'm doing still not sure if he disapproves my deadlift technique or the fact that I drop the bumpers, i thought about confronting him about this, but I'm an adult and can't really be bothered with this sort of immature behaviour, it's not really professional, he's at his workplace if he has an issue with something I'm doing by all means come and talk to me, don't stand in my back nodding your head in disapproval I find that really unprofessional, now for last I was a Crossfit athlete for some years and i know how to weightlift, I've been stopped for a few years and I'm getting back into Olympic weightlifting even though I'm sure my technique is not the best i do know what I'm doing, I'm always happy to take advices or if I'm doing something wrong i don't mind people coming to me, but this is unacceptable behaviour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok Would really like to see options for those who want to retain some social distancing, such as some equipment still spaced or specific quiet times. Disappointed to see mask signs removed 3 days before restrictions end.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too hot but clean Day or night, air conditioning is not turned on sufficiently . During the day front door is left open to allow humidity and temperature to rise within the gym.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it As an ex Army PTI now retired and very visibly wearing my teacher/Dad bod, I was a little apprehensive about starting back at the gym. No need to worry, loads of kit, great atmosphere and no feeling of being judged. All body types and ages are training, with one goal, to build a better you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good facilities Really enjoy using the gym. The only comments I would have is that the showers weren’t all that clean.
