Awesome assistant managerI was having problems getting my brother in using the take your friend along perk. The code just wouldn’t work. (Couple of months ago now)
A nice man who worked there was so helpful and kind and really seemed to care about our experience at the gym. I’ve just noticed on here that he is the assistant manager so it makes sense that he clearly leads by example.
I also did a step class today and the instructor Robyn was so down to earth and made new members feel welcome. Will definitely be going to more of her classes.
The only downside is the huge push over new year. I felt really overwhelmed in the gym by new members and felt that all the attention was going into getting new people rather than focusing on existing. I left for a few months because of this, got tired of not being able to book classes or get near machines during busy periods. The app literally had nearly 200 people as being in the gym on a Friday night as opposed to less than 20 previous weeks. Too much.
I had a quick look at the other comments and I hope the staff joking about members thing isn’t true, certainly not been my experience but I have been told that some instructors classes are more popular than others. I think it’s obvious when you’re there who is approachable and who is not.
Thankfully the new year resolutioners have now backed off.

Decent gymGenerally a good gym, only 1 set of single digit dumbbells in free weights area isn't that great when it's busy! Warming up, shoulders and folk hogging them for drop sets but that's like most gyms i suppose, mated area wasn't that well planned ( some genius halved it and now only about 3 people can use it) the mirrors should be on the gym class wall which would open up the whole area!

Miss Chief ManagedI've always taken part in competitive sports, normally in large teams and fighting week to week to creep up a league. When I left that behind I was worried that my fitness would decline and I'd become complacent. So I joined pure gym... and I never looked back. The variety of kit and work stations has allowed me to continue to pursue a competitive work out, even on my own. Since joining the robroyston facility I've been inspired by the on site PTs and especially the 9ther committed pure gym members. I've even started power lifting which was never really been my thing, but has now become my passion.
I truly believe pure gym allows people to get the most out of their work outs.
It's been a great place for me for personal and physical gains.
One more push!
