Halifax gym reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always a great place to workout Plenty of cleaning equipment around. Lots of space to workout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gym was clean, good weight selection Halifax puregym was clean, had lots of disinfectant sprays and well marked out, good free weights section and nice juice bar vendor
Date published: 2020-10-17
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nobody challenged about mask wearing. Available cleaning materials were good as always, people were strolling about with no masks. Gym manager wore one and some people when they came in... but that was about it. Sure, when working out fine, no mask then. A disaster waiting to happen, tier 3 here we come

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always clean Can’t fault the gym, always clean, could do with a few more machines but that’s it really
Date published: 2020-10-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean and spacious No steam or jacuzzi or punch bag facilities, also a rewind after training area.
Date published: 2020-10-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Staff are working very hard, some members spoil it The staff at the gym are working hard to keep the space safe. I was extremely appalled that some members are ignoring safety protocols of wearing face coverings between stations or wiping them down when finished. Naturally I do not expect staff to police it but would suggest regular reminders over the p a system. Unfortunately these wrongdoers think they’re ‘too cool’ to wear a mask or do any cleaning!
Date published: 2020-10-15
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Non compliance with face masks 118 people in gym. I have observed 1 other person with a face mask. It is clear face masks unless exercising. An audit of compliance would be useful. Thinking of cancelling if doesn’t improve. Why are staff not questioning members if they don’t wear masks. Is it optional??
Date published: 2020-10-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Large, easily accessible and clean. Good-with sufficient space. Suggestions- 1.Face masks need to be worn by everyone at ALL times-this can apply to runners on the treadmills etc.though should be optional in these circumstances. 2.Some users are not wiping the equipment either before or after using it, this needs more active discouragement. 3. A larger supply of smaller weights is needed (1.25-5kg) 4.The gym lighting --level could be raised during training-times. 5. A large attractive wall board listing heights and weights in imperial measures and their metric equivalents-(or vice-versa) might be of use and interest. (I realise that weights are marked on the left and right side of the weights of most machines, but these are not always immediately apparent or easily visible.)
