CHANGED FOR THE WORSTUsed to love this gym, especially the classes. There has been nothing but changed from towards the end of 2018 and they have been a bad move. From a new manager, new staff, new class times, new rules etc. New managers changes and attitude towards customers and staff is not good at all, staff and customers opinions and ideas are not taken into consideration at all. Its her way or tough as far as I see and hear. Great staff/PTs are leaving and we are getting incompetent staff in their place, if the new staff were maybe experienced or trained up correctly they could maybe be good enough, but there are a few with no people skills, no fun, no proper warm up or cool down (which are very important), no first aid training, no sense of health and safety. It is a complete shambles at the moment, if you were to ask customers their opinions they can tell you they are not happy at all with how things are the past few months. It has such a bad reputation now. Something needs done to turn it around again to what was a great gym. People go to Pure Gym to be taught correctly how to train and they are no longer getting this experience unless they get one of the few experienced staff can help

Unsuitable Class Times!I have been a member from opening, but the new class times are very inconvenient! Rushing from work at 5pm then I cannot get a parking space as the spaces are occupied by people using the car park for free parking whilst they are working all day! At least when the classes started at 5.30pm these cars had been collected and there was parking available!!! I have missed class start times as I couldn't get parked, classes I have paid for as part of my membership!
I have tried speaking to the manager regarding this, and have also sent numerous emails but she has no interest in discussing this matter and is rude and ignorant to the problems created by changing these class times! The manager is blaming head office, head office asked why I was contacting them as the changes were made by the manager ?!?! The manager is very clearly passing the blame and is unwilling to listen to ALL paying members that are and have complained!!
Maybe head office should contact members of the gym and participants of the daily classes for their opinion before they lose members...

Also Agree with Inky Pinky!!I have to agree with Inky Pinky also! This gym used to be fantastic and I used to love going, but with this new manager in charge I'm beginning to not want to come back. The manager has a clear disinterest and lack of regard for what suits her members, especially the ones that use the classes. Class times have been changed to inconvenient times for those who work over half an hour away and make a point of travelling to far to go to this specific gym. When questioned, she is extremely rude and has made excuses to not discuss any issues. I, as well as many other members, have made multiple complaints about a certain PT, who is rude and does not do great classes and has even caused near injuries during his class by refusing to move equipment away when doing certain moves. Multiple complaints have been made and the manager still refuses to do anything about it, she refuses to speak to him to try and make the situation better. I love the rest of the PT's, their classes are fantastic and I wouldn't fault them on anything, I just hope that this new manager realises what damage she has done to this gym and tries to fix ti before it gets any worse.

Red Dwarf from
HAVE TO AGREE WITH INKY PINKYI loved this gym, it would be a big part of my weekly routine. Since the management has been changed at the end of 2018 the gym has went downhill bigtime. The class times, class instructors names on the booking app that are very rarely correct and the lack of interest from the new manager are awful. It is very off putting, what was once a great place is lacking in good management, bring back Gillian, all was fine until she left. Also one of the staff is not very good with people, I have heard a lot of customers complain about him so I am sure management know who it is.

Was once a great gym! This was once a great gym, but due to recent changes in the gym management the place is suffering. Manager is very out of touch with members and doesn't listen to feedback - Comment Cards were removed months ago & when questioned the manager becomes rude and defensive. Such a shame as some of the trainers employed really do go above and beyond to help
