Too busy, at least 15 minutes waiting.I was a member and gave up twice because it’s too busy, messy and managers don’t listen to members suggestions apparently. Anyone know that the most popular equipments in a gym is squat and bench press racks, and although they have some still it’s not enough because they allow more and more people to join and don’t increase the number of these equipments. There is a waste of space but they just don’t know how to use it.
I rejoined today, hoping that there’s been some change but still is the same mess.
I am now waiting to The Borough one open to see if is any different. Please make money but try to keep the quality. As an experient personal trainer myself I really wish some improvements to this gym.

PoorPeak time 5pm on a weekday evening and only one member of staff in the whole place to be seen, and she cared more about her phone then showing any sort of customer service. She had zero knowledge on parking.. and said she didn't know if I could park in the gyms car park?? and recommended I park on the street (which I later found out was all permit parking).. Other then the poor staff (if you see any) it's ok for treadmills etc... but barely any lighter weights in the free weight area, even when it's quiet. Also the two times I booked classes.. no instructor turned up.. leaving everyone in the class making jokes about how unprofessional the place is. You get what you pay for with this place, but the management needs an overhaul for sure.

Pure CycleI initially joined the gym to start afresh. When I arrived at the Pure Cycle class I did receive help and support if not encouragement and motivation from the trainer.

Large gym, too busy, lack of member controlI have been using Pure Gym Bermondsey for a while now due purely to it's location. If you know how to train, it's great. If you want some guidance and support, this is not the gym for you.
I go very early morning or very late at night to try and get some sort of equipment as the gym is paaacked at peak times. Sweaty atmosphere and no where to even walk through to reach where you want to train.
There are often underage boys in there messing around or aggressive men training in groups. Staff do nothing to help.
Personal trainers can be unprofessional when training together and when training their clients - on their phones, slouched over them, unenthusiastic.
I wissshhh this club would get another squat rack or two! Or olympic area or two - they are by far the most popular pieces of equipment and it is such a struggle to get a go on one.

Good quality gym, but too crowded and bad atmospheI've been a member of Puregym for a couple of years now. The Bermondsey location is literally the only place within reasonable distance I could get to with a gym. If I had any alternatives to this gym I think I probably would leave.
While the choice of equipment is decent and its actually quite large, it is almost always too busy. Even in the middle of the day during the week its very difficult to get a squat rack or even a barbell. I think this is due to the lack of competition for gyms in the area, meaning everyone goes here instead.
The gym is generally clean and well maintained, and weights are usually put back into place. The staff are seemingly friendly and helpful.
However, the gym does suffer from an intimidating unfriendly atmosphere caused by loud aggressive members shouting at each other across the room and taking up equipment. Often people are walking around with their tops off, loudly banging around and shouting at the top of their voices.
I've found this can be pretty offputting for your average gym goer and I've noticed some members sheepishly avoiding using the weight room.
The staff are seemingly powerless to do anything about it, in fact they generally appear to encourage it or be part of the problem

Some suggestionsHere just some suggestions... in here the male changing room is quite big, why don’t install some bench at the middle of the changing room. That’s will useful the space.
The clock of the changing room is not working more than 2 weeks, and the hair dryer is no working for weeks ago. Why no one fix it?

Dirty :(1. Hair all over the shower cabins
2. Dirty toilets
3. Drinking water fountains by the female changing room in bearly working condition
4. USB portals are not workig on machines, so cannot charge your phone etc
5. No wipes (the reason explained by the manager, in the review below)
Otherwise, cheap and large gym
