London Borough gym reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very pleased with this gym An Excellent gym. Good Equipment. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful training staff too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not enough cleaning supplies I attended yoga on Sunday. The teacher was filling in for normal teacher and he was not very good. Additionally, there was spray and towels in the yoga studio for wiping down mats but not enough of either one. The ventilation in that room is not sufficient. You need to increase the number of air changes / minute and add more filtration.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No warning of cancelled class I turned up for a class only to find out the instructor had not turned up and it had apparently been cancelled (no one told us of this before we got there). Also, I frequently cannot get a locker to put my things in as they have all been taken.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gym needs upgrading, gym fee not competitive The my local Puregym not 24hrs so the fees should reflect that. Your competitors are cheaper and offer 24hrs. Several staff members are friendly and some are not. Sorry to sound so negative, but to be honest only go to that particular gym because it's the nearest gym to me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too many people in the class Hi all, my review is only about my experience today. The class at 6:30 was too busy. I was wondering if all those people sighed up for this class. Someone almost took my stepper when I left it for 2 seconds. Another one almost had their feet on my face when doing one of the exercises. We were about 20 in such a small room. Normally it is not that busy, please be aware of this. Also, I would like to thank you because finally I saw paper roll and disinfectant spray at the gym. I hope this is something we can have always and not just for the coronavirus time. I'd also like to comment that I miss Saturday's classes at 8 am and 45 minutes classes. Would it be possible to have them back, please? Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Gym, bad access The Borough Gym is actually pretty nicely done. It has some great features and it's pretty nice that you have the mirror and gym area up some stairs where you can be a bit out of sight if you feel self conscious. however, the area between some of the equipment is just too tight, especially the ones between the stair stepper and some of the weights, it's so overcrowded there. on a separate note (not sure how much puregym can do about this) but the access to the gym is always a bit of a nightmare. You're supposed to be able to access it from 6 AM but almost every time the access gate is closed until at least 6:15 AM. might not be a big deal for some but standing outside for 15 minutes when the actual place is open, just not the council gate, is soooo annoying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improve cleanliness Please can we have blue paper to wipe down machines. Communal towels aren't hygienic. Also can we get the toilet seats fixed?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good classes but changing rooms are a bit small Generally I prefer attending classes than just going to the gym floor, and I particularly like Burn It / Tone / LBT / Pump at around 6pm on weekdays. However, the current timetable at London Borough doesn't offer these types of classes at this time on a Weds or Thurs. The changing rooms are also overcrowded at peak times.
