London Borough gym reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Borough Machines are a bit dated compared to the other pure gyms I use. Could do with upgrading. Over all okay for a basic workout

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value for money but quite unclean I moved to this gym from another competitor due to my workplace relocating. I tend to go before work and it feels like a much more friendly atmosphere than my previous gym. The only set backs however would be that the showers are particularly unclean, the small upstairs mezzanine can become extremely hot and the few times I have visited after work have proven exceptionally busy. Overall however, you get what you pay for and I would recommend it to a friend (but maybe shower at home/the office).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gym Classes attended are of high quality - shout out to Winston's sunday evening classes, with many regulars! Overall very friendly staff. The gym can get quite busy at times, but I avoid going at peak times.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cold The studio was cold. The AC was on really high and I couldn't enjoy any of the classes. The showers were also cold and there was no sign of notification up so I found out the hard way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice community gym I like the efficient layout of the gym and the range of equipment available

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shower floor fixed? After closing the shower area for a few days, to clean the floor surface, it now appears that the surface is pulling away from the ground and is effectively more dangerous, water is not draining properly and the surface is most likely going to have to be replaced, causing further closures and disruption

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good gym! It's a great gym, it does get packed after work at the beginning of the week but it's what you would expect for a busy gym in central London.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good gym, some things to improve Equipment is generally good quality and well maintained. Overall there's a great range of equipment and even at busy times it's easy to have a good workout. The app and access system is great. Music is the right volume. Temperature in the gym is spot on too. Some improvements: It can take a while to fix breakages - for example the shattered glass behind one of the squat racks was taped up for weeks before being fully replaced. There a broken soft floor tile besides on of the other squat racks which is a bit of a trip hazard and still has yellow tape on it after a few weeks of being damaged. Also, whilst there are a reasonable number of bar weights available, some of the 20kg and 25kg are quite old, rough and have exposed metal. They could do with being replaced. If people could be encouraged to replace weights it would really improve the experience. Would be nicer for the staff too! Perhaps more signs could help?
