Glasgow Hope Street gym reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good gym but poor changing room While it’s a goos gym, it would benefit from better changing rooms and showers which often smell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gym Have been a member of PureGym for a few years. Working in Glasgow this week so used Hope Street gym. Great layout, lots of equipment and very clean! Definitely much tidier than my home gym

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing circuits class Alex’s circuits classes are extremely well planned, amazingly co-ordinated during the class, motivational, really fun and enjoyable and extremely challenging however you leave feeling you have worked hard and refreshed. It’s my favourite class!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Facilities is a shambles Been at puregym hope street for a very long time and i must say that the facilities are rubbish compared to puregym bath street. First of all, the lockers in the mens are rubbish, they keep getting stuck and some of them are bent and wont close properly. Second of all, the hairdryer in the mens doesnt seem to work and when it does it only lasts for a few seconds before it dies out and also it is not as strong and powerful as the one at bath street. Upgrade is needed. What else, the gym equipment is missing the labels to show what weight it is on the smith machines and the bars. And the ropes needs changed as there wearing out and not as sturdy. And lastly the showers are rubbish as they only last 3 seconds or a couple more on each press of a button and not much water comes out. Lessen the pressure of water and keep on for longer. JD gym is a good example of good showers. Learn from that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value but terrible at peak times I do enjoy using the gym but basic gym etiquette of the members is very poor at peak times, where the benches and squat racks are hogged. You should install additional benches and racks in the acres of space upstairs. A lot of the time staff aren’t visible or available to help less time experienced users or be on hand for simple queries. Changing area is too small, poorly maintained and not pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it Good gym, friendly people and for the price it’s really a good place to train, I think it’s a gym for people who already have experience
