Welcome to our Basildon gym
If you’ve never been inside a PureGym before, here's a taster of what PureGym Basildon is like. The gym floor is packed full of over 220 pieces of high-quality kit ranging from cardio machines and fixed resistance machines to functional fitness and a large free weights area. Plus, the timetable of fitness classes included in our memberships, such as circuits and cycling, will let you enjoy working out in a group for free.
You'll find the gym near to Eastgate Shopping Centre, by the town square. We're just a three-minute walk away from Basildon Train Station, which makes us the perfect choice for locals and commuters. We're open 24 hours a day and best of all members get two hours free parking.

How to find us
We're conveniently located near the entrance to Eastgate Shopping Centre, a 2-3 minute walk from Basildon town square. We're next door to Fresh Estate Agents and Douglas Allen estate agents and our postcode is SS14 1EB.
Members can park for free, for up to two hours. To ensure members receive free parking for two hours in Eastgate Shopping Centre Car Park – Car Park 6, please make sure you follow the below steps:
- Collect a token from the car park entry barrier, when you enter the car park
- Take your token to the validator, located at the secure side of the entrance lobby, as you enter the gym or before you leave the gym.
- Make sure you place your token on the reader for validation when you are leaving and wait for the light to change colour
- Then take your token and deposit it into the car parking pay machine and pay for any parking beyond the free two hour free parking period. You will not be charged if you have parked for less than two hours.
- Retrieve the token from the pay station and deposit it in the exit barrier to leave the car park.
As for public transport, we're a three-minute walk from the main Basildon Town Centre bus station and a 6-8 minute walk from Basildon Train Station.
Member Notice:
Members can park for 2 hours for free in Eastgate Shopping Centre, Car Park 6. If the Shopping Centre is open, members must use the entrance on the second floor of Eastgate Shopping Centre.
Outside of shopping centre hours, there is an entrance by Car Park 6 that members are able to use.
Shopping Centre hours are below: Monday to Saturday: 9am – 5.30pm Sunday: 10am – 4pm Bank Holidays 10am – 5pm but Eastgate carpark is open 24 hours.
Alternatively, members can access the gym 24 hours a day through an entrance on Southernhay Road, next to Eastgate Dental Practice. Please note: outside of Shopping Centre hours, members will only be able to exit the gym through the exit on Southernhay Road or by Car Park 6.
