Belfast St Anne's Square gym reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New management Really think the gym has gone down hill since the new manager has come on board. Always used to see Gary and Ryan a lot - have never seen the new manager once since he took over. The floor is not clean, hair and dust all over the place, the TVs are on mute - no volume, no music - it's like a library, the classes keep changing, and overall standards and atmosphere are poor. Pity as it was a great gym

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Classes Why do the classes keep changing?? The mornings usually have cycle, then either burn/tone/LBT and abs - but this keeps getting changed?? Same with the evenings - usually 3 classes run cycle, then pump/LBT/tone and abs - again keeps changing... So annoying when you have a svhedule. At least Gary used to consult the members to ask what we wanted, the new manager keeps changing things and I have never seen him around the place once.... And now on a sat and sun there is an hour gap between the classes?! Makes no sense - most of us do all 3 classes back to back. 4 weeks ago my review would be 5 star but the class schedules are becoming a joke and has massively effected my rating. Other staff are amazing, all the PTs are really great and I know it is out of their hands also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing atmosphere and staff Been there a year and I rate it over any other gym in the city. Friendly and approachable staff with great attitudes and support .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welcoming Site, Helpful Staff I have consistently found this Pure Gym to be a welcoming place for all, regardless of their level of fitness or frequency of use. Staff are also welcoming and helpful. Dean is my trainer, and is extremely knowledgeable, patient and willing to provide me with off-site exercises for use when I'm away on long work trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Gym! I have been going to PureGym for 1-month now and i am loving it! All of the equipment is good and safe, my one complaint is that there is only one decline bench in this gym.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Agree on needing female bar I agree with another member about getting a female bar. I think it’s great that more women are in the free weights area training and this should be encouraged by having the right equipment for them. The issue is not so much the weight of the bars at pure gym but the diameter. A smaller diameter means the girls who generally have smaller hands can do a hook grip and improve our lifting and technique.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for first timers I signed up to PureGym 2 weeks ago and have had positive experiences. You are left to do your own thing without worrying that people are staring or criticising you. The equipment is relatively new and with short, clear instructions on how to use each one. There was an issue with my activity not being logged so I had to contact support. The first time I got no response but to be fair, the second time I got an apologetic email and the issue was fixed. I have lost all of my activity data for the last 2 weeks but it's not a major issue. I bought a keyfob which works great. If you are a first timer like me, go for this one. I recommend you spend a bit more to allow 24hr access as I find I can fit the gym in around my day whether it's before work or after.
