Highly OvercrowdedI signed up for this gym more than 2 years ago. The number of users have significantly increased over the years. But there has been no extension or addition of any equipment. Leaving people like me, single users, struggling to find any equipment. People in group gang up and hold the equipments and pass on amongst themselves which is quite annoying. Due to this overcrowding, it is taking me double the time for getting through my routine. I am seriously thinking of leaving this gym

Decent gymA decent gym for a no contract set up is ideal , its clean and the equipment is in great condition and they do have most gym equipment tho dont seem to see any bands or barbell pads , maybe have to ask for these ? . Can be a bit crowded at peak times but thats normal for any gym .
The only gripe i have is that the music is pumped into changing rooms and isnt really needed and can be switched off to create a quiet relaxing atmosphere after a workout .
The staff seem ok and friendly, tho havent really engaged with any of them as yet .
Overall a great gym for the membership prices and no fixed contract either like others .

I wrote a review a year ago, still the same issuesOne again the same issue. Staff taking up all the space in the gym, dominating areas and making it intimidating for customers to use the gym.
Yesterday I visited the gym, and it was probably the busiest I've ever seen it. I did some cardio, then went over to the mats, as most of my workout takes place there. The mat area is small enough as it is, and there were a lot of customers round the edges of the mats, squashed against the wall. Why? Because 2 trainers at your gym were taking up the entire middle of the mats doing handstands and parkour and other obnoxious show-off work outs. They had about 15 items of equipment dumped on the mats taking up space, kettlebells, some bars, these massive luggage bag things, taking up loads of room (they didn't even use half of it). And the room that was left the trainers were leaping about in, being really loud and intimidating. I tried to squeeze past them and find a space and one of the trainers kept rolling on to the mat I was using, despite loads of room behind them. Finally someone left and I went into a space squashed up against the wall. While I was there I saw plenty of gym users walk over to the mats, see that the space was taken up by these trainers, and leave. They weren't even training anyone.
I think it's unfair that they do this all the time. It's intimidating to new and unconfident gym users. I'm not very confident at the gym, and I just want to go and be able to do sit ups on the mats, but instead I have to deal with them yelling and leaping all over the place so everyone looks over at the mats. I can't feel comfortable in the gym when they're doing all this. I don't know why they feel the need to show off to everyone that they can do handstands and parkour etc. If they wanted to do this to improve, surely they could do it at a time when they gym is empty, as they're here all day?? Why choose the busiest time of day to take over an entire area unless to show off? I end up leaving halfway through my workouts because this is so frustrating.

Surprisingly awesome!I was initially reluctant to join a gym which essentially was self serve. Part of the experience of going to the gym to me was to have trainers on hand to provide advice and support when needed. I wanted to feel good after a session and not just a transaction.
I thought I would give Puregym a trial as it was close to my home and maybe cancel after a month if it didn't work out, that was one of the things that attracted me, no contract!
Much to my surprise, after 7 months I'm still there and loving it.
The P/Ts are great and on hand to help when they're not with clients. The classes cater for all levels and I've always been able to attend my chosen sessions. My P/T conducted my induction and was offering me advice on technique and exercise long before I signed up with him.
I haven't just joined a gym, I've joined a fitness community and they motivate and keep me going!

Very good gym with room for improvementSigned up to pure gym when it first started and it was advertised as a 24hr gym. It’s still not a 24 hour gym . Misleading if you ask me but overall a good gym
