My personal journey with fitness and weight loss was a 10 year battle. Weighing 17st 2lb at my heaviest, I realised I had to change. I joined slimming clubs and a gym and I did lose weight on several occasions but my approach was unhealthy. I rewarded myself with takeaways and junk food after gym sessions, and eventually gave up as I struggled to maintain the weight loss and returned to bad habits.
After several years of ups and downs, fad diets and occasional exercise, I embarked on a lifestyle change. I found a passion for running, strength and conditioning training, and a healthy balanced diet.
My weight and body fat dropped significantly. I lost inches and gained lean muscle. A change that gave me a new outlook on diet and fitness, and sparked my interest in Personal Training.
Over the past few years I have continued to set myself new challenges, training myself to run a marathon, and another two after that.
