After having 2 children, I gained over 4 stone from both pregnancies. I was so impatient with losing the weight I tried quick fix diets. I struggled to find the balance between work life, mum life and gym life. I wanted to lose the weight so quickly that I would just give up when it wasn't happening. Until I got tired of giving up on myself and decided to be patient and not give up.
I restarted my weight loss journey during lockdown with just walking and going to the gym, when gym's re-opened, I decided to commit to a 4 day week schedule that fitted around work and the children. Having routine and structure helped me to be consistent and motivated. Most importantly, I decided to be patient and see what would happen if I did not give up as I have always done.
I chose to trust the process and focus on the actions that I needed to do to get the results rather than focus on the results. 2 years laters I have lost 2st 7lbs and I am in the best shape I have ever been. Part of my journey has become to empower other mothers and busy women like myself to do the same for themselves. You can do it too, you just have to be patient and trust the process.
