MusicI have got big issue with music and the speakers. I Would recommend to buy good quality Speakers and update the 100 years old music list. It is more then horrible hate to workout like that. I don't even mention that they play pop instead something proper gym music. Other issue is the mirror any gym should mirrored around properly. Where the dumbbells are in the corner. I cannot understand why there isn't mirror.

Great gym, no cleaningGood experience over all, as long as you go after 10pm it's reasonably quiet. Don't think the music playlist has been updated since I joined 6 months ago so I am slowly being driven into psychosis by the same few tracks.
Also I have never ever once seen anyone cleaning a piece of equipment.

Great facilities and classes! For the monthly fee, it’s pretty good and overall I’m happy with the gym.
My only dislike , and it’s a strong one, are the spiral stairs that lead to our pure gym in Cambridge leisure centre.
After a heavy session they are so hard to navigate!! People coming up and you’re going down and one of you has to use the part of the stair that’s stupidly narrow. Ugh! Almost tempting to just stay up there for a few days till the DOMS have subsided before taking them on. A slight overreaction , but still. They’re a nightmare , major design flaw.

Grafton Gym - Crowded and noisyI tend to go in the morning because at other times it is not worth it. Even in the morning it can be loud and busy so slightly intimidating walking in. The weights area seems dominated by men and at times they take the equipment from other sections which is rude. Have yet to see someone clean the equipment. Other than that is is ok for a budget gym, but the volume of people in there is my biggest issue.

OverchargedRequested that my contract be changed from Extra to Standard. Told this would be done but I have since been charged for three months at the higher rate. No response from manager despite promise of contact within 24 hours. No one else to contact or way to escalate or make complaint. The music is also unbearably loud and the same old rubbish every time you go in. Apparently they do 'regular volume checks' but it is audible through headphones on full volume. Who is enjoying this?? Probably just the staff. The rowing machines are also always in a sorry state. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

A pretty well equipped gymI have been to pure gym for 3 months and I find those machines, bars and dumbells are put in good care and always maintained. Besides, I hope there is a way to solve the over-crowded problem as there is always too many people causing the lack of machines and benches. If it is possible, I hope that there will be an expension of pure gym as well as more machines.
