“When I was growing up, I wasn’t into sport. There wasn’t anything that interested me. I was always overweight when I was younger. I was insecure about my body. I lacked confidence.

In 2012, I lost some family members and I was ill myself. And it just made me realise that life is too short and I was really unhappy with myself.

The only thing I found that sparked me was weight training. And when I started doing that, it just flipped everything.

So now instead of being insecure about my curves and my body, I’m now celebrating it and I’m doing curve modelling, plus size modelling, promoting body positivity, and women feeling confident in their body.

Training keeps my whole life together.

I think it’s very good for your mental health. It’s keeps everything structured.

It’s not just about aesthetics or how I want to look but it keeps me as together as a person.

As a singer, it’s a very image-led industry. When I was younger I wouldn’t want to go for certain jobs because I would be worried about how I look, whereas now, I’m so comfortable in my skin that I just go for whatever comes to me and what I want to do."
