"I feel as though I am in the best shape of my life" - Connor
Hi, I'm Connor and after my motorbike accident I started putting on weight and realised I needed to do something about it. PureGym has been the place where I have tackled my weight issue and got back into shape.
I've been training for 2 and a half years. After my motorbike accident 2 years ago I was laid up on the sofa with a broken ankle and found myself in between jobs, putting on weight. During this period my fiancé left me and my life left like it was crashing down around me. This is when I ballooned to around 127kg and I realised I needed to make a change. I decided to set myself both weekly and month goals to help get the weight down and I am now at 92kg and dropping, but being a chef makes it difficult to stop the hard work going to waste with having to taste things all day. I knew I had to find a way to keep on track, so I went on a nutritional course which helped me understand what my body needed to keep the weight coming down. Having lost the weight has really boosted my overall confidence and I now feel as though I am in the best shape of my life.
